Affirmations. Powerful, both good and bad. Yet, something we forget to do. Reminding ourselves of our values, of who we are, validating ourselves. Not through selfies or a poem. Just through words to us. Reminding ourselves that we are loved, we are special, we are successes in the making.
Something I think some of us saw from the movie The Help, directed by Tate Taylor. A great example of what affirmations can do.
“You is kind, you is smart, You is important”
Words that we all need, day in and day out. Who else is going to love you more than yourself? You know yourself so well, why not remind yourself each morning?
Write down your qualities, even the not so good ones. And write down what you are trying to become. What are your short-term goals? Long-term goals? And speak it into existence.
I am a success, and so are you!
