Anger part 3

Anger breeds conflicts, fights, wars; creates confusion and causes devastation.

Proverbs 15:18 KJV
A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.

What does the scripture say about anger
1). Anger is a function of foolishness. When a wise man speaks, you quickly identify by his word. Jesus was sitting in the midst of elites teaching them with wisdom and they were all amazed. You need to watch out for the word that you uttered out. A word can heal a wound or tear down a fellow. Death and life are in the power of the tongue(Prov.18:21)

Ecclesiastes 7:9 KJV
Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

2). Anger is a sin – James 1:19-20 KJV
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: [20] For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Sin ruptured the link between man and God – the destiny of man became fractured because of sin. As life is a choice, as godliness is choice, so also anger is a choice. Our agreement is always needed to commit a sin. Anger can erode our redemptive dignity. By choice, Daniel reigned with kings the same thing happened to Joseph.

A powerful force behind anger is the spirit of disobedience. It requires the spirit of obedience to destroy the spirit of disobedience. One of these spirits comes from above while the other comes from beneath. He that comes from above is above all (Jn.3:31)

Ephesians 2:2 KJV
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Ezekiel 36:27 KJV
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Sin instils fear while righteousness establishes confidence and boldness. Adam sinned and his first uttered statement was “I’m afraid” many believers are ruled by fear today as a result of disobedience.

Proverbs 28:1 KJV
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Antidotes for anger
1). Renew your mind – ever since the fell of the fallen angel (wicked one) every imagination of man has been evil continuously.

Genesis 6:5 KJV
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

This is why you must reprogram your mind by thinking positively. You’re what you think, and anger has a connection with your thought. Your mind is the devil’s object of attack

If God who created the universe and all the things inside it(including you of course) thinks positively, then you and I have no choice than to follow the same principle

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

2). Do all things without murmurings and disputing (Phil.2:14) – wouldn’t it make news if I’m caught up in a brawl? While murmurings will mess up your situation, complains will complicate your matter. It is so uncommon to hear people saying these days that “situation in the country is bad” “we are feeling the heat”. Everyone is feeling the heat but we must know how to manage ourselves.

Those who grumbled this way are programmed for destruction. All the Murmurers and fault finders in the wilderness were all consumed by the destroyer

1 Corinthians 10:10 KJV
Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

3). The antidote of praise and Thanksgiving – we thank God what He has done, we praise Him for what He will do and we worship Him for who He is. Those who struggle more and had little results are in the company of those who have not added praise to their efforts.

If you’re not joyful you will be fretful. It leaves you with no option, praise is a commandment (PS.150:6). Until you maintain constant praise lifestyle the spirit of anger remains your neighbour.

If you can turn all your bitterness, frustration, hatred and anger into praise and Thanksgiving you will be experiencing the miraculous more on every side of your life.

Praise is one of the vital buttons that you need to press if you must operate on a wavelength with God, in the miraculous.

God does not owe any man anything, you owe Him obedience to the commandment of praise.

Therefore I pray, every spirit of anger at work in somebody’s life is destroyed by the spirit of obedience to the commandment of praise in the name of Jesus. Amen🙏

Jesus Christ is our perfect example, if I can’t imagine Jesus being caught in a brawl why must I be found in one..therefore brethren, let’s cultivate the habit of Jesus. I also pray for any character that can’t be found in Jesus that is found in somebody’s life is destroyed by the blood of Jesus. Amen🙏
