WHAT WE SHOULD KNOW

We trot around with needless pride,
And oft take people for a ride;
If we but know our days are few
We will be humble.

With hollow thoughts and shallow minds,
We fill our voids with vanities;
If we but set our priorities right,
We’ll know what to do.

Live for yourself and others too,
Who knows! You could paint one’s sky blue;
And put a smile on someone’s face –
And colour one’s world.

Let your life please both God and man,
For then can your life have meaning;
So when you close your eyes to sleep,
‘Twill open in glory.
