MAN’S THOUGHTS: A SONNET

A penny for your thought if you will
But if I pay, will I leave with thrill?
For the thoughts of man is so wicked
Are there still a few good men on Earth?
Whose thoughts for another is refined?
Or is there a price tag for our hearts
Who knows? There may be something to gain

Hence I may make my lips as honey
So the dark side of me, I’ll refrain
And make you seem as though I’m merry
Who can know a man unless the Lord?
But pray He shines His light in your heart
Lest hate seems like love because of words
But such words leads to the depths of the Earth…
